MECHBORN changes
Hey pilots, Lucas here!
As Lead Artist and world-builder on MECHBORN, getting to reveal new pieces of this world each month is genuinely one of my favourite parts of the job. This month we've got a lot to cover: a terrifying new Elite Kaiju and two brand new pilots joining the TitanCore roster.
Let's launch into it!
THREAT ASSESSMENT — Know Your Enemy
Magicka – S Class Kaiju
Threat Level: Elite
Magicka is one of the most dangerous Elites you'll encounter, equally lethal in a group and on its own. High damage output combined with a punishing debuff mechanic means unprepared pilots won't last long. Make sure your defensive measures are solid before engaging.
HP: 100
Moves:
Cerebrada — Deals 22–24 damage
Retribution — Applies Karma to the player
Karma — You suffer damage equal to all damage you've dealt
Karma is the one to watch. The more aggressively you play, the harder it hits back! So think carefully about balancing your offence with enough sustain to weather the blowback.
Meet the Pilots — TitanCore’s Finest
Even the best mech needs the right person in the cockpit. This month I'm thrilled to introduce two new pilots, each bringing a completely distinct playstyle to the battlefield. I've had so much fun developing these two, I hope you love them as much as we do. Let's meet them!
Giuseppe ‘PEPPE’ Baroni — The Architect of the Belt
If you like to read the battlefield before striking, Peppe is your pilot. Methodical, resilient, and capable of explosive turns when the timing is right! He rewards players who think several steps ahead.
Like Yumi, Peppe's skills revolve around positioning, turning the Conveyor Belt itself into a weapon.
SCRAMBLE — Position Is Everything
Scramble shuffles all cards currently on the belt. Simple on the surface, but deceptively powerful in practice! When combined with positional - support cards that trigger when they reach the end of the belt.

Once those cards activate, Scramble moves them out of the last position so they can potentially cycle around and trigger again ** Chef's kiss **
BASTION & FURYLINE — Offence and Defence in Equal Measure
These two skills buff cards based on their position in the belt. Bastion grants +8 Shield to defence cards in slots 1 and 7, while Furyline boosts attack cards in slots 3, 4, and 5 with +8 damage.
Each is strong individually but combine them and you can simultaneously shore up your defence while supercharging your attack — turning a well-sequenced belt into a serious threat.
But if the belt isn't cooperating then Scramble gives you the chance at stack things back in your favour.
FLOW — The Best Things in Life Are Free
Flow sets the cost of every attack card on the belt to zero. Save this one for when you absolutely, positively need to clear everything on the battlefield — because when it goes off, it really goes off!
Lyra "Shieldmaiden" Lumineth — The Unbreakable Wall
Where Peppe reshapes the belt, Lyra anchors her entire gameplan around her shield — using it to absorb punishment and strike back when the moment is right. She fits naturally into a defensive playstyle, but don't underestimate her offensive ceiling when her skills are combined correctly.
BLUR & PROTECTION — One Does Not Simply Let Their Shield Expire!
These two skills are a natural pair. Protection grants you 15 Shield instantly, and Blur lets you carry it into your next turn rather than losing it at end of round. That alone makes them invaluable for bracing against anticipated attacks.
Pair them with low-cost defence cards like White Wall, Iron Dome or Eagle Drone, and that persistent shield becomes a launchpad for Lyra's more aggressive skills!
RECOIL — The Perfect Offensive Maneuver
Recoil flips Lyra's defensive turns into offensive ones, dealing damage every time she gains shield. Pair it with the support card Bypass — which reduces the cost of all defence cards in hand to ZERO when in slot 7 — and the damage starts stacking up faster than say ‘ Crushed Kaiju! ’.
ENDER — Invincibility Lies in Defence
Lyra's all-or-nothing finisher. Ender destroys all the shield she's built up, converts it into damage across the entire enemy field, and heals her from the carnage.
Devastating on its own, but truly lethal when combined with cards like Slash & Hold, which let her build shield with each attack — meaning the more she fights, the harder her Ender hits.
That's a wrap for this month's DECLASSIFIED!
Two new pilots and one very nasty new Elite to prepare for. I'd love to hear your thoughts on each, which pilot you’re most excited to try out?
