Maybe Immortal changes
Streamlining: Temporary Delisting: "Mayble Immortal" is not being permanently discontinued but temporarily removed from the store. It may be relisted in a year or even two, depending on how "Mayble Immortal S" performs this year. Reason for Temporary Removal: The game's art style is not aligning with its gameplay, leading us to release "Mayble Immortal S", which is essentially the same game minus the art. Gameplay Changes: Significant alterations to gameplay are planned. The "Survivor" gameplay framework will be temporarily removed.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Accidental Purchase Thinking It Was Discontinued: If you mistakenly bought the game thinking it was discontinued, please contact Steam support for a refund.
- Difference Between "Mayble Immortal S" and "Mayble Immortal"The 'S' stands for 'Stick', implying the art style has been downgraded to stickman style. "Mayble Immortal S" is "Mayble Immortal" with all art reduced to stick figure level. Visual representation as shown: Steam post image
Is "Mayble Immortal" Abandoning its Players? I plan to request Steam support to gift "Mayble Immortal S" directly to players who already own "Mayble Immortal", so there's no need to repurchase or buy "Mayble Immortal" now to "pre-purchase" "Mayble Immortal S". The two are quite different in their current forms and gameplay design, which is why an update of "Mayble Immortal S" over "Mayble Immortal" is not feasible.
- Future of "Mayble Immortal" and "Mayble Immortal S"According to Steam's community publishing standards, due to significant gameplay differences and being past the Early Access (EA) stage, "Mayble Immortal" should technically be discontinued. However, if "Mayble Immortal S" performs well in the market, I believe Steam would accept a revaluation and repricing of "Mayble Immortal" with upgrades in art and gameplay. It's more like upgrading an apple to a gift-boxed apple, not turning an apple into an egg. Existing paying customers would get an enhanced new game experience without extra charges, aligning with Steam's principle of protecting consumers. For those who wish to keep the current version of "Mayble Immortal" as a part of history, I will add an extra free DLC for downloading the current version.
Pricing Strategy: Considering the unsustainable pricing at $1.99, the planned pricing for the two games is as follows:
"Mayble Immortal S": $5.99 "Mayble Immortal": $17.99 Both games are identical in gameplay and design, differing only in art and GUI.
Is There A Similar Treatment Plan for another my game "End of Panduora": It's under consideration. The situation is complex, as it currently has the programming but lacks art assets.
Promotion Before Delisting: I don't recommend players to buy "discontinued games" in a blind box fashion, especially since this game will not be discontinued. There are no plans for promotion, as we want players to make rational purchases and avoid impulsive buying. This is also why "Mayble Immortal" will be temporarily delisted after the store page for "Mayble Immortal S" goes public.
