addedI just pushed a major new build of Matchy Star , and this is a big step toward the game I’ve been trying to make.
addedThe headline feature is the new 5-planet run structure. Instead of feeling like a set of loose levels, Matchy Star is starting to feel much more like a real run-based space adventure. You’ll travel from planet to planet, build up your strategy, and see how far your current setup can take you.
addedThis update also adds a new camera perspective , which gives the board and world a stronger sense of depth and personality. Matchy Star has always been about matching stars in space, but this build makes the game feel a lot more like you are moving through a strange little galaxy instead of just playing on a flat board.
addedThe other huge addition is items . Items are still early and will keep changing, but they are the beginning of the build-making layer that will define the full game. The goal is for every run to feel a little different, with weird combinations, surprising synergies, and new reasons to replay.
changedThis build also includes numerous bug fixes, balance tweaks, interface improvements, and general cleanup. Some parts are still rough, some items are still being tuned, and the game is very much still growing, but this is the first version where the full shape of Matchy Star is really starting to come through.
