Hi Alchemists,

We're still hard at work improving the rivers in Master of Cladia.

This latest version is getting very close to what we had in mind.

The water flow now looks much more natural and follows the river in a coherent way.

Unfortunately...

As often happens in game development, solving one problem immediately reveals another 😄

Our current challenge is terrain alpha blending. While the river itself is looking much better, we're now seeing visual artifacts where the terrain and water meet.

So... back to work!

Game development is all about iteration: improve one system, discover the next thing to fix.

We've attached a couple of screenshots showing the current state of the rivers.

We're getting closer every day!
