Hello explorers! đź‘‹

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been experimenting a lot with Mars Clicker — testing what feels most fun and satisfying. And after many prototypes, I’ve decided to pivot the gameplay towards a more active, destructive experience.

“The new direction draws inspiration from classic idle destruction games like Zombidle — giving every click a satisfying impact.”

Instead of simply harvesting crystals, you’ll now be breaking through layers of Martian rock, dealing damage to massive crystal formations, and upgrading your colony to dig deeper and faster.

Each hit contributes to your progress, and the deeper you go, the more powerful and mysterious the resources become — from minerals to dark matter.

What’s Next?

I’m rebuilding some systems to support this new combat-style loop — including damage values, particle effects, and layered destruction animations.

Once I have everything stable, I’ll share a short gameplay video showing how this new approach feels in action.
