Repeated intro

Greetings everyone! This week we have been hard at work on one of the more complicated characters in Mansion At Midnight...The house itself. There are 29 room tiles that can spawn randomly to generate a game map. One of these room tiles does not like to stay put. This is of course the mystic room. The mystic room is a room tile that will teleport all players inside it to another location within the the house, providing a means of escaping captors, or the freedom to explore new areas when the staircase is occupied with unfriendly spirits.

addedWhile Don was hard at work with the mystic room, I began one of the other tasks on our list: Updating player models and animations. I started by looking at all the player character models, then began drawing new reference sheets so that they could be re-molded in greater detail. I was only able to complete one character sheet, so we will see what more I can complete in the next few weeks.

Don began with concepting the mystic rooms behavior, then built the room into the random generator making sure the mystic room could travel with all the players inside without issue. It will take a few weeks of testing to get things working perfectly, but from concept to testing, Don was able to get the room working by the end of the week.

As August comes close to an end we look back on the progress we've made with a sigh of relief, however looking forward at our list of to-do's September is going to be very busy! We hope you continue to look forward to what we will make next.
