addedThis August, prepare yourself to descend deeper into The Realmverse than ever before! In the Further Descent Update, launching later this month, you'll have the opportunity to explore some new game mechanics that will diversify each of your play sessions. It came to our attention that the archives system lost its touch because each playthrough was the same. This is something we are continuing to work on in the future, but we decided to polish up the initial experience before beginning work on the game's Superior Mode. To celebrate, Maguntsche: Chapter One Remastered will also be going on sale! Below you'll find a list of improvments and new features coming in this update!
addedNew Environment Variability!
addedIn this update, some of the Realmverse iterations will be randomized from a predetermined set of generated levels. We currently are working on adding three new variations to two iterations of the game. This means that there will be 28 unique level combinations to explore! We hope this will encourage both new and existing players to collect and complete the Maguntsche Archives.
addedNew Flashlight Mechanics!
addedIt was decided that they player needed some way to defend their self. The player's flashlight will have new functionality that will allow them to "burn" the Maguntsche Demon. This causes him to slow down temporarily which will make navigating the house a bit easier. However, this comes at the expense of quickly annoying the Maguntsche Demon, which will cause him to enter a frenzy where he is immune to the flashlight, moves more quickly, and deals more damage.
addedNew Environment Interactions!

New Environment Interactions!
The player now can interact with several objects within the house. This not only provides some additional exploration opportunities for the player, but also allowed us to expand a bit on the game's story and information about the player's character!
New Achievements!
As an additional touch to the revised experience, we're working on adding some new achievements for some of our more determined players. Some of these achievements are more challenge oriented, and will be more difficult to complete compared to our original set of achievements.
Added In-Game Settings Menu
You now will have the ability to change the game's settings from within the pause menu! This was a highly requested improvement that we've now brought to completion after a handful of smaller updates. We remain open to suggestions for future settings / localization options.
Additional Polishes & Improvements
In this update, you'll also find some fixes to existing issues and glitches. We are also working on improving the visual aspects of the game further by improving some of the materials. We remain open to any suggestions that you may have for the future!
