Just a small update with some new improvements regarding new brightness settings and some other additional balance-based changes. This update will be available shortly after this post.
Update [0.1.3] Patch Notes
New In-Game Brightness Settings
Players now have the ability to adjust the game's brightness from the settings menu or pause menu. The changes we made with The Lights Out Update required user control for the overall brightness of the environment.
Reconfigured & Polished Glitch Screen Visuals
These effects have been slightly reduced to avoid eye strain. The code associated with the effects has also been reconfigured to improve the accuracy of the effect being triggered by the player looking at the enemy. We also added some additional glitch sound FX to this event.
Fixed Ending Screen Bugs for Larger Display Resolutions
We also fixed a bug regarding the display of text on all of the ending screens. Originally, displays with larger resolutions would cause overlapping of the text associated with each game ending. The text now scales properly for all three endings.
Balanced Flashlight Mechanics
We added an additional 40 seconds of use to the flashlight. We removed the UI elements associated with the flashlight temporarily and reconfigured the controls for the flashlight. Players will now use the Primary Mouse Button to toggle the flashlight.
Balances to Maguntsche Demon Behavior
The Maguntsche Demon now has a new spawn point that will prevent him from attacking the players on the stairs after collecting artifacts. This was originally an unfair advantage to the game as it would give free hits. We also pulled back on his attack distance threshold slightly from the previous change. This means he will have to be in closer contact to deal damage.
