Adjustments & Bug Fixes
Ambush Adjustments
The clearest, most common feedback received was that Ambushes are confusing and end runs too often. The following tweaks have been implemented to counter these issues:
As it was not intended for introductory cards to encounter Enemy Captains, Ambushes are now locked until you have won 10 runs.
As it was not clear that hovering over an Enemy Captain would show their effect. Enemy Captains now have a prominent button to show their effects.
Ambushes now show only relevant data to the player and have an info button to explain the battle.
Key Card Adjustments
Due to poor design, the term "Keys" was overloaded. Keys are still in the game and will allow you to open chests in the Stockpile Location.
Now, the dropped currency from Enemies, previously referred to as "Keys", has been renamed to "Artifacts".
Artifacts are dropped the exact same way as keys were and paid out the same as well.
They can be sold to the Curator in the Museum from the Main Menu.
The "Add Keys to Deck" feature is now named "Key Ring" as was originally intended.
Card Stat Adjustments
Royals stats were rearranged to make them more intuitive.
Points are now more clearly marked on Royals as they are now labeled.
Attack Damage is now more clearly marked on Weapons and Royals.
Weapon cards now denote their targets slightly clearer by labeling the Targeting indicator.
Battle Adjustments
The Lineup is now called Promotes.
All Discard Piles are now labeled.
Sections have slightly updated art to draw correlation using symbolism.
The Scoreboard coloring has been updated.
Miscellaneous
Added Save Validation when loading the Main Menu. See the Save Management section of these patch notes for more information on this feature.
The Progress menu is now called the Quest menu.
Added a loading spinner to make it clearer that loading is occurring.
Adjusted the amount of refund given back to the player on duplicate Citizen the opening a Prismatic Pack (down from 2000 to 1500).
Adjusted the tooltips in the Chapel, Tavern, and Blacksmith menus to emphasize the cost of services.
In the Chapel menu, when Enchanting a Royal, the Enchantment description will automatically pop up to inform you of the change.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where Enemy Captains would not pay out 50 Jewels on Banish and was only paying out 25.
Fixed an issue where the starting deck would not contain a Copper Key when it should have.
Fixed an issue where the Zoner Citizen card would trigger more than necessary.
Fixed an issue where the Bank All and End Turn buttons could be clicked after Attacking and before a new turn started.
Fixed and issue where the Boon sound would not play correctly when utilizing Bank All
Fixed an issue where the Run Modifiers panel was not rendering correctly depending on what you had unlocked.
Fixed an issue where selecting cards in the Draft menu could cause them to render above the Run Modifiers Panel.
Fixed an issue where there was gapping present in the loop of the battle music.
Fixed an issue where the player could be dealt two hands in rare circumstances
Fixed an issue where the Coins state was not being tracked correctly and you would see an enormous amount of coins in the Progress Menu.
Fixed an issue where passives would not complete and the passive process would become "stuck" preventing downstream passives from triggering.
Fixed an issue where Weapons would deal excess damage to Enemies if it was Sharpened, then struck a single target.
Fixed an issue where Corrosive and Analog would never be applied to an Enemy Captain.
Fixed an issue where scoring points using a Point Card would not trigger Boss transformations as intended.
Fixed an issue where in rare circumstances the turn would be incremented twice. This caused the Poison Enchantment to tick damage faster than intended.
Fixed an issue where the Wired Status Effect would not evaluate subsequent neighboring enemies if the first enemy roll failed.
Fixed an issue where you would be informed that you could not purchase a card from a Discard Pile because you did not have enough Coins when the real reason was that your hand was full.
Fixed an issue where you could Attack for X damage, then a passive would increase your Damage to X+Y, but the Damage dealt to the Enemy would still be X.
Fixed an issue where, when Attacks are redirected, they appropriate visually deal damage to the right target.
Fixed an issue where you could attempt to Attack twice but nothing would happen. The 2nd Attack click is no longer possible.
Fixed an issue where Awakened Weapons wouldn't hit adjacent Enemies if they shared the same name.
Fixed an issue where the Bank All animation would occur too quickly. Now, you will see each banked card move to the Discard Pile with immediate feedback.
Fixed an issue where, when Banishing certain Bosses, not all of their art would banish correctly.
Fixed an issue where the stack of Location cards in the Loading menu could render off screen.
Fixed an issue where the Chapel tutorial could render incorrectly when explaining how weapons work.
Fixed an issue where the Chapel tutorial would show the wrong icon for Enchanting Royals.
