Hello everyone!

- UI and audio
- Store
- Fixes
Update 0.50.0 is now available. As usual, below you can find the most important and noticeable changes included in this new version of the game.
Important:
The story timeline has been shifted forward by approximately 10 years. As a result, many dates throughout the game have been updated. This is not a bug, but part of the revised lore.
To access the new playable area, players who have already completed the Residential Floor must open the safe in Room 204 (Ealish's apartment) once again.
Inside, you will find a keycard required to continue the story.
To open the safe, you need to find out Ealish's date of birth.
The clue is her birthday card, which you have most likely already found earlier. Check the date written on it carefully.
Ealish's date of birth is the password to the safe.
New Area: Research Floor
A new playable floor has been added, continuing Ealish's story.
Laboratory Wing
Medical Wing
Technical Level
The new area places a greater focus on fighting the infected and exploring dangerous locations. Players will encounter 4 new puzzles, new documents, audio recordings, and the next chapter of the story.
Crafting Improvements
The crafting system has been reworked and received several quality-of-life improvements.
Added the ability to choose how many items to craft at once.
Added notifications for insufficient resources and inventory space.
Improved interface navigation and overall clarity.
A new "Processing" section has also been added. This allows players to process a new resource called "Sewing Scraps", which can be obtained from certain enemies. These scraps can be broken down into useful materials used for crafting new outfits and other items.
Journal Improvements
The Journal has been significantly reworked to improve navigation and make it easier to find information.
The location-based filtering system has been replaced with a nested category system, allowing for better organization of the growing number of records and making the Journal easier to browse.
As the game continued to expand, the number of documents, notes, diaries, and audio recordings grew considerably. The new structure makes it easier to locate specific entries and navigate the Journal's contents.
To further improve organization, the following sections have been added:
Newspaper Articles
Survivor Logs
Notes
Puzzle Notes
Reports
Daily News
In addition, all diaries have been separated into individual categories based on their owners, making it easier to follow each character's story and further immerse yourself in the game's narrative.
New Outfits
Kimono
Can be found in Locker #5.
Red Sweater and Black Skirt
For new players, the Red Sweater and Black Skirt outfit can be found in Ealish's wardrobe during the opening section of the game.
Players who have already progressed past the beginning of the game will need to obtain the Clothing Crafting Journal in Room 204 (Ealish's apartment) to unlock Red Sweater and Black Skirt.
Ealish's previous default outfit, Uniform E-1, is still available in the game. However, new players must now craft it themselves. The journal containing the recipe can be found on the Research Floor behind one of the locked doors.
Character Control Improvements
Character controls have been reworked.
In most situations, Ealish now moves independently of the camera direction, making exploration more comfortable and allowing players to freely look around while moving.
When using a flashlight or knife, the controls automatically switch to a camera-relative movement mode with strafing. This makes interacting with objects and dealing with infected enemies much easier.
Hairstyle System
A hairstyle customization system has been added for Ealish.
As you progress through the game, you will be able to find new head accessories that unlock additional hairstyle options.
Head accessories can also be crafted using the clothing crafting system.
Miscellaneous Improvements
Updated Ealish's movement and combat animations. The frightened animation set has been reworked and is now only used at the beginning of the game. As the story progresses, Ealish adopts a more confident stance and movement style.
Improved the crouching system. Transitions into crouching are now smoother, and the animation can no longer be interrupted by repeatedly pressing the crouch key.
Journal entries that have not yet been discovered now display the area where they can be found, making it easier to track down missed documents.
Improved item pickup notifications. Long item names will no longer extend beyond the boundaries of the interface.
Fixed an issue that prevented the Camera Stabilization setting from working correctly. The setting now functions as intended. The maximum slider value has also been increased from 15 to 20 for players who found the previous range insufficient.
Fixed numerous minor bugs and implemented various quality-of-life improvements.
In reality, much more work went into this update than may be immediately apparent. A large portion of that work focused on improving the game's internal architecture and laying the groundwork for future updates. This process is still ongoing, and I continue to gradually improve various systems throughout Lunar Eclipse.
Thank you all so much for supporting the project and for playing Lunar Eclipse. I will most likely be releasing several smaller patches in the near future containing fixes, improvements, and additional content, including new clothing items.
Lunar Eclipse Thank you for your continued support! ❤️
