Luciferian - The Conjuring Book changes
In this April 2025 update of Luciferian, several new features are included: 8-directional aiming for gamepad (configurable), the crosshair is now always visible while walking (it wasn’t before), a new crosshair icon, a better-balanced Level 2, the ability to destroy enemy powers in mid-air, slow-motion effects during attacks, new sound effects, several bug fixes, and various other improvements.
v1.0
A specific walking action has been defined to allow auto-aiming for ranged attacks.
As no controller type is detected through Steam Input, an 8-directional aiming configuration is required.
The 8-directional aiming only takes effect if a controller is selected under Options > Input/Controls and is actually being used to play. It has no effect when using Keyboard + Mouse.
If the above conditions are met and the selected power is different from the sword, the game now performs automatic aim positioning.
The aiming icon is no longer hidden while walking.
An option for 8-direction aiming has been added under Menu > Options > Other.
Writes `8-directionaiming = true` when the configuration file is missing or by default.
In new installations, it was writing `8-directionaiming = 1` in settings.ini, preventing the game from launching since this parameter was expected as true or false.
Fixed a bug present since early March where killing an enemy didn’t grant the hidden items it was carrying.
- 8-direction aimingfixed a bug that incorrectly positioned the aiming icon for both sword and ranged attacks. This only occurred when the controller 8-directional aiming setting was set to “Yes.”
Going back from Video, Input/Controls, or Other menus now properly reinitializes navigation icons.
This fixes a bug where these icons were displayed incorrectly at the bottom of the menu after returning from any “Options” submenu.
A new crosshair icon has been defined for the aiming reticle.
- Level 2 has been better balancedsome enemies were removed, and some were set not to shoot.
It’s now possible to destroy an enemy’s ranged attack mid-air, either with the sword or another power‑up.
A slight slow-motion effect has been added on each hit with the sword.
A slow-motion effect has been added to the final hit when an enemy dies.
A new property was defined to allow certain enemies to shoot while others cannot.
