Hello everyone,

The countdown is officially on! Low Magic They Said launches into Early Access in just 4 days—on April 13th.

Yes, yes, I know… the timing isn’t exactly optimal, but that’s the life of a solo dev! 😅

To get us ready, Pre-Release Patch #2 has just hit. Jump in and kick the tires on the brand-new cards, the town-management system, and a truck-load of other goodies.

New Content & Features

Town Building

Enter via the “Little Palace.” The town gives you meaningful choices rather than straight power.

Character Campaigns

Every character now has a standalone, yet interconnected, campaign. The story is optional but rewarding—hand-held only for the first few minutes, then you’re free to explore.

  • Current story content reaches the end of Act 1 (≈ World Prestige 3). You’ll have to unlock it—no spoilers! Ok, one, beating World Prestige 3 is not enough.

Scaling Up (and Up… and Up!)

Since the last update we have doubled the amount of raw gameplay content, and today’s patch adds even more:

  • Many new upgrades for existing cards

  • Secret upgrades hidden on a bunch of relics—happy hunting!

  • A heap of new relics to discover

  • Fresh journal entries for the lore-hungry

  • New visuals sprinkled throughout the UI and world

  • New sounds, music, and map art for extra atmosphere

  • Brand-new animations to bring battles to life

  • And remember: each class now adds its unique magic to the global pool after a win, enabling some truly wacko builds.

Roadmap

  • The Illusionist – releasing ~1 month after EA launch, complete with her own bosses, campaign and unique systems.

  • The Ninja – arriving ~1 month after the Illusionist.

These two will round out Acts 1–3 for the full initial story arc.

A Note on Testing

With thousands of possible card-relic-status combinations, I simply can’t test every corner of the game. If you find a bug (or something wildly imbalanced), please drop a note on our- Discord: https://discord.gg/MNEyeq3rhS

...I’m fast at squashing issues once they reach me. Thanks in advance :)
