Lover's Enigma changes
We’re quietly, nervously, and very gratefully here to say this at last:
Lover’s Enigma will officially release on Steam on May 20.
It feels strange to write those words.
For a long time, this story has lived with us in fragments. In late nights, in difficult choices, in scenes rewritten over and over until they felt honest enough to hurt. And now, after everything, the end of this journey is finally beginning to come into view.
At launch, the English version of Lover’s Enigma will be released globally first.
As a small indie team, we want to be honest with you about that. We know many of you have been hoping for additional language support, especially Chinese and Japanese. We want that too. More than that, we want to do it properly.
From the very beginning, Lover’s Enigma was built around intimacy. Around quiet emotions, hidden pain, and words that need to land exactly where they hurt. We know that for a story like this, localization is not just about converting text. It is about preserving feeling. Preserving rhythm. Preserving the fragile, human closeness that lives inside each route.
Because of that, we do not want to rush it.
Our hope is to use the support from the English release to help fund future localization efforts, so that if we bring Lover’s Enigma to more languages, we can do so with the same care this story deserves, and without disappointing the players who come to it not only as gamers, but as readers.
We hope you can understand.
And truly, thank you.
The journey of Lover’s Enigma was not only about Kazuki, Haruki, Ren, Ryota. Somewhere along the way, it also became about all of you, the players, the backers, the followers, and everyone who stayed with us and carried this story in their hearts alongside us.
We felt your love. We still do.
And as this story moves toward its ending, we feel it too, that strange ache of knowing something precious is almost over. Like missing a heartbeat. Like trying to hold onto a moment before it slips away.
We will remember it. We will remember this moment. And we hope you will too.
Before release arrives, here is our official trailer — one last time.
And if you’d like to stay close to us a little longer, follow us on Discord. We’re always there, and we’d love to have you with us.
