addedThat update focused primarily on reducing the fatigue of repeated playthroughs by increasing build variety and overall gameplay variety, based on the feedback many of you shared. We added Blessed Relics (enhanced versions of relics), introduced new passive skills for each character, and implemented the Morale Boost system to help Tacticians discover new team combinations by encouraging the use of less-played characters.
changedQuick Expedition ModeWith this update, we are making a strong effort to reduce the playtime of a single expedition in order to lessen the burden of repeated runs. We did consider simply reducing the number of battles or events in the existing expedition format, but we felt this would neither result in a satisfying gameplay experience nor necessarily make the game more enjoyable.
changedQuick Expedition ModeInstead, we decided to redesign the structure of this shorter expedition mode entirely. In the early stages, Tacticians will focus on building the team composition and setup, then take on a series of consecutive boss battles (with occasional events or encounters in between).
addedGame DifficultyAs multiple updates have made the game more accessible and easier to enjoy, we also found ourselves needing to reconsider how difficulty is handled. With Sable’s Wrath and Sable’s Whisper modes, Tacticians can already choose a difficulty that suits their preference, and Trials allow you to add conditions to make the game more challenging.
addedGame DifficultyHowever, Trials do not simply make the game harder—they sometimes introduce difficulty modifiers that Tacticians may not necessarily want. Therefore, in this update, we are adding an option that allows you to separately adjust the mastery level of enemy units when selecting difficulty.

How did you enjoy the winter update of 2025?

That update focused primarily on reducing the fatigue of repeated playthroughs by increasing build variety and overall gameplay variety, based on the feedback many of you shared. We added Blessed Relics (enhanced versions of relics), introduced new passive skills for each character, and implemented the Morale Boost system to help Tacticians discover new team combinations by encouraging the use of less-played characters.

For the upcoming February update, we are preparing three major features as outlined below.

Quick Expedition Mode

With this update, we are making a strong effort to reduce the playtime of a single expedition in order to lessen the burden of repeated runs. We did consider simply reducing the number of battles or events in the existing expedition format, but we felt this would neither result in a satisfying gameplay experience nor necessarily make the game more enjoyable.

Instead, we decided to redesign the structure of this shorter expedition mode entirely. In the early stages, Tacticians will focus on building the team composition and setup, then take on a series of consecutive boss battles (with occasional events or encounters in between).

This Quick Expedition mode becomes available after you clear the game through Act 3 once. We are preparing it so that you can complete an expedition in over 50% less time compared to the existing format, and we hope this gives you a fresh way to enjoy the journey again.

Game Difficulty

As multiple updates have made the game more accessible and easier to enjoy, we also found ourselves needing to reconsider how difficulty is handled. With Sable’s Wrath and Sable’s Whisper modes, Tacticians can already choose a difficulty that suits their preference, and Trials allow you to add conditions to make the game more challenging.

However, Trials do not simply make the game harder—they sometimes introduce difficulty modifiers that Tacticians may not necessarily want. Therefore, in this update, we are adding an option that allows you to separately adjust the mastery level of enemy units when selecting difficulty.

While we thought it would be ideal to allow adjustment of many different values, we determined that if we had to choose one factor that most meaningfully impacts difficulty, it would be the enemy mastery level.

Beyond Expeditions

There were many times when, after finishing an expedition, we felt that the build we had created was so satisfying that we wished to keep playing with it just a little longer.

Inspired by this idea, this update will introduce a feature that allows you to export the build from a completed expedition and replay certain combat scenarios using that build.

While preparing this build extraction feature, we also discussed various content ideas internally that could be built on top of this system. Unfortunately, we cannot include all of them at this time. Although there are no concrete plans yet for additional content, we hope that if you continue to enjoy and support the game, we may have opportunities to present more of these ideas in the future.

We hope you look forward to the February update, and we sincerely appreciate your continued support for Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch.

Thank you, Jinsang Kim
