We messed up - but we’re fixing things

It’s been a wild time since Loot River was released. To be honest, the launch didn’t go as well as we hoped.

It’s been a wild time since Loot River was released. To be honest, the launch didn’t go as well as we hoped.

We spent the last week hunkered down, just frantically fixing and shipping patches for some of the problems you brought up in your reviews.

Although a bunch of you have had loads of fun playing Loot River, there are many of you who didn't - and for valid reasons.

We’ve seen amazing, heartwarming reviews from those of you who made it past the early game.

But we’ve seen a lot of reviews to tell us that the early game was pretty bad - hard, punishing, opaque. And well - we agree.

After reading all the reviews and feedback on our Discord (thank you for this!!), we know we have a lot of work ahead to make the game as good as it deserves to be. We want all of you to be able to enjoy the same challenging-but-fun experience we’ve seen lots of you have in the late game.

We’re already working hard on this.

Four patches were already released during the first three days after launch. We’ve worked to fix the biggest problems you had.

  • Movement on platforms is more fluid.

  • Dash is better.

  • Parrying is better too.

  • There’s been a whole bunch of other combat tweaks and improvements.

  • Easy mode got animation canceling, higher poise and lower health enemies (plus more).

  • Overall gameplay is more responsive and less buggy.

Check out all the patch notes here.

We’re already seeing some positive responses to these changes which is just great. We can’t express how big of a morale recovery this is for us. Thank you.

There are more fixes, improvements, tweaks, and updates on the way. We’re not stopping until all of the game is good.

Please, keep the feedback coming and talk to us on our Discord. We’re on it.

Thanks for everything and for your patience,

Miro & Loot River crew
