Little Nemo and the Guardians of Slumberland changes
v1.0.2 Patch
For this patch, I'm just trying to tackle the things that were meaningful but also super quick and easy to fix. I've been spending a lot of time just trying to promote the game and follow up with players that have questions or need support, so I didn't get much time to actually dive back into work on the game yet.
New
Added a new Professor Hotline tip about enemy outlines (can be found in Haunted Hollow)
The Bubble Wand's dodge ability now has a 4/15s delay before it can be activated. This will help prevent accidental dodges when trying to bubble while coming to a stop and releasing the thumbstick or d-pad.
Game Cartridges can be thrown slightly further making some return paths possible that weren't before
The maps now show which bed is your current "checkpoint" bed with a checkmark
Bug Fixes
Lore Records you have read now correctly appear as such on your map and mini-map
Fix for two secret tunnels sometimes not staying open when returning to them (if you were having trouble returning a certain cartridge to Alex due to this, give it another shot!)
Save Slots were showing a slightly incorrect percentage, now it will correctly reflect a 100% complete save slot
Fix for dying to the Crystal Cruncher preventing other music from playing until the boss is defeated
Fix some sorting issues for Polter-Pal who could sometimes appear behind terrain
Typos and other Small tweaks
Fixed typo in Kickstarter Thank You Plaque's message
Typo and missing line fix in a lore record about the moon
Fixed a missing space in between lines in Mina's memory recollection
Improved clumsy description for Lucky Coins on the Status screen
Tweak Oliver's conversation so it's more clear he doesn't want your cape
Fix a conversation with Bon-Bon when arriving under specific conditions
Fix Silas accidentally spoiling something early
Fix a typo in the lost letter dialogue
Made it slightly easier to get into a tube that was a bit awkward near the start of Crystal Caverns
Ensure enemies scared by Polter-Pal never have a contact hazard red outline
Added a cool S next to the Professor kiosk near Wilfred
Kickstarter Backers will now always have the Master of Dreams PJs in any save slot, as long as they have the Exclusive Rewards code activated
Known Issues
There are still some issues I'm going to be tackling next that require a bit more work to diagnose, so they are still a problem in this build:
Some Steam Deck performance issues need to get ironed out
Camera colliders sometimes disappear allowing the camera (and sometimes the player as well) break out into adjacent rooms
Boo-Hoos (the enemies that haunt carryable items) sometimes don't spawn
The Blue Moon per-domain count sometimes gets out of sync (can be fixed by reloading the save)
There are some crashes that are hard to track down, but seem to be affecting some players more than others
Planned Work
Once we get the worst bugs out of the way, I'll be finishing up some features that missed the launch build:
Steam Achievements
In-Game Music Player
