Major Optimization Update
In this update, we revisited the core systems of LIMSCAPE and implemented significant performance improvements along with numerous bug fixes.
Most notably, collision processing has been fully optimized, resulting in approximately 2x faster loading times. Hitching during gameplay has also been significantly reduced.
While many of the changes are behind the scenes, the overall experience should feel noticeably smoother and more stable.
■ Performance Improvements
・Reworked and optimized the entire collision system → Approximately 2x faster loading times → Reduced in-game hitching
・Mouse input is now available during level loading
・Fixed an issue where logos and assets would stream in at low resolution immediately after launch ・Fixed an issue where water areas sometimes did not respond on first launch
■ Audio Improvements
・Fixed an issue where ambient sound near water surfaces could not be muted in Sound Player Actor ・Added an option to mute sound while underwater in Sound Player Actor ・Added sound occlusion by obstacles option to Sound Player Actor ・Fixed an issue where footstep sounds would stop when walking uphill ・Fixed an issue where movement speed would not change when pressing Shift underwater
■ Character & Movement Fixes
・Fixed collision issues affecting NPC characters when scaling or rotating ・Fixed an issue where crouching near shallow water would incorrectly trigger splash sounds ・Fixed an issue where crouching in tight spaces could cause clipping ・Improved Ocean Actor behavior to follow wave motion when near the water surface
■ New Features
・Added Point Light Actor ・Added collision disable option for Cloner ・Normal maps now automatically disable sRGB when importing (File name must contain "_Normal") ・Added “Invert G Channel” option for normal maps in materials
■ Editor Improvements
・Fixed an issue where gizmo lines became too thick when editing large objects far from the center in Edit Mode ・Fixed an issue where stage names were not displayed in the pause screen for user stages
