addedAdded a new difficulty called "Practice" for newer players. Practice is essentially the same as Normal but with higher damage, more HP, and infinite continues. It’s a way to experience the complete game if you’re new to the genre and can serve as a good warm-up before trying the classic difficulties. Practice mode does not have a scoreboard.
addedYou now have infinite continues in Boss Training mode.
changedBalance
changedThe bullets shot from the background in Stages 1 and 4 now explode into fewer bullets in all difficulty modes, making them more consistently dodgeable without a dash.
changedMine projectiles in Stage 4 now explode into 9 bullets instead of 10 .
fixedFixed a bug where projectiles from the Stage 2 boss had the wrong color when playing with the "Muted" shot style.

Difficulty Options

  • The"Novice"difficulty was renamed to"Normal"so as not to discourage players from trying it out.

  • Added a new difficulty called"Practice"for newer players. Practice is essentially the same as Normal but with higher damage, more HP, and infinite continues. It’s a way to experience the complete game if you’re new to the genre and can serve as a good warm-up before trying the classic difficulties.

Practice mode does not have a scoreboard.

Training Mode Changes

  • You now have infinite continues in Boss Training mode.

Balance

Some very slight adjustments have been made to all difficulty modes. Here are the most relevant ones:

  • The chainsaws during Boss 2 are slightly slower in Normal mode.

  • The bullets shot from the background in Stages 1 and 4 now explode into fewer bullets in all difficulty modes, making them more consistently dodgeable without a dash.

  • Mine projectiles in Stage 4 now explode into 9 bullets instead of 10.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where projectiles from the Stage 2 boss had the wrong color when playing with the"Muted"shot style.

  • Attempted to fix a bug where Cicadas in Stage 4 would sometimes continue shooting after death. I was unable to reproduce it, so I’m not certain whether the bug still occurs.

UI Changes

  • The word"Level"was replaced by"Stage"in Stage Select for consistency.

  • The splash screen and credits have been adjusted.

As a side note, thank you to every player who enjoyed Lilac 0 this year. Have a wonderful holiday season.

Victor Pouderoux / (BulletPrince).
