BE ADVISED! Season 3 is... very hard. Be prepared to look up recipes in the cookbook constantly. New gameplay mechanisms also require you to squeeze the last drops of your coop skills even more than before. We love playing it and we hope you will love it too.
An important new feature is the ability to reassign keyboard keys. This is the single most requested feature (especially from owners of laptops that do not have the "Right Ctrl" key). It surprisingly took a lot of work to implement it, as we had to redesign how buttons are shown on-screen. We previously just selected an appropriate sprite to show a button, which was easy. Now we use a mixture of sprites (for gamepad buttons) and dynamically generated text (for keyboard buttons). WARNING! The default keys for the right player on the keyboard were changed. Serving will now by default be done via the slash key "/" (which on the majority of keyboards is next to the right shift). If your keyboard has the right ctrl and you prefer the old layout, please reassign the serving key in the settings menu.
Here are all the other changes:
The result of another one of the brilliant ideas our internal tester Michał T. In short - you will now be able to much more easily tell which ingredients were added into the mixing bowl (Season 1) and shake maker (Season 2). Check out this screen:
After the tutorial level is finished, Leonard will now give a short explanation on where coins come from in the game.
You can now see the total number of stars in a season on the level summary screen. Stars will also be added there dynamically (like coins already did).
The number of orders counter is now updated sooner after an order is completed.
You will now see newly unlocked chef or game mode (once battle and endless modes come online) on the level summary screen.
In the profiles screen when deleting a profile the currently active profile will remain selected.
Made the shake maker sound a little louder.
Fixed some polish fonts bugs.
What's Next? Season 3 marks a very significant milestone in the development roadmap. What we plan to do next (in the probable order):
Versus mode. We have playtested it already and should ship it really soon. On the side note - I have never seen my wife so aggressive (unfortunately I kept winning :-)
Edd - the final planned playable character.
Endless mode.
Steam achievements support.
Language support for French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. Support for other languages is under consideration
Better and more clear information on how to play the game remotely.
Other features and bugfixes.
Many of the features we introduced over the last months come directly from the ideas brought to us by you - the players. We are very open to these ideas and love working on them, so please do not hesitate to reach us on the discussion boards or our Discord.
