changedThe Adventure of Culhwch and OlwenThis 8th adventure will be our take on the tale of Culhwch and Olwen. It's a strange and wondrous story, and it has given us the chance to craft some of the most unusual moments we've ever put into the game.
addedThe Adventure of Culhwch and OlwenWe'll say only this for now: your knights will embark on a new quest that will take them inside a giant's head, riding upon the back of the Great Salmon of Llyn Llyw and face-to-face with Twrch Trwyth the giant boar. We'll leave the rest to your imagination until September.

We usually gather at the campfire to share patch notes and squashed bugs, but today we come bearing something a little different: a glimpse over the horizon at what we've been working on. Two things we've been itching to tell you about!

So settle in, and let us share what's coming next.

The Adventure of Culhwch and Olwen

We're delighted to confirm that we're hard at work on a DLC for Legends of the Round Table, one that will bring an 8th adventure to the game for you to embark upon.

We won't spoil the release date just yet, chiefly because we don't have one to spoil. But we can tell you that we'll have a proper announcement to share on the 14th of September, during the Steam Party-Based RPG Fest 2026. Mark your calendars, sharpen your lances, and keep an eye on this space.

You Are the Author

Here's a thought we keep coming back to.

The Arthurian legends never had one single, official author. There was no definitive text handed down from on high. They were tales told and retold by anyone who wished to tell them, reshaped and reimagined across centuries by countless minds, each adding their own colour, their own choices, their own version of what it all meant.

And when you play Legends of the Round Table, that's exactly what you're doing too. Every decision you make, every path you choose, is you writing your own version of the Arthurian tale. In a sense, by playing, you become one of the many, many authors who have shaped Arthuriana across history!

We loved that idea so much that we decided to honour it properly. We're currently developing, and nearing completion of a feature that records the decisions you make throughout your playthrough. Then, at the end of your journey, it will let you generate a beautifully illuminated, lovingly laid-out PDF, styled to look like a genuine medieval illuminated manuscript, with the story retold and re-adapted to reflect the choices you made along the way.

And because we wanted this to feel truly yours, the PDF is formatted to work perfectly with Lulu.com, so that, should you wish, you can have a physical copy printed and bound, your very own chapter in the ever-growing library of Arthurian tales.

We want to be clear: we make no profit from book prints whatsoever. It's simply for the love of the game, and for the joy of giving you the option to hold your own version of the legend in your hands.

Changelogs

We just released a small update to further make the game more approachable. Here are the details:

  • New feature: From now on, the defender during a special defence will receive a +3 bonus to their special defence challenge. This will allow for more dramatic turnarounds in the most challenging moments of a battle. Please note that this rule applies to NPCs as well as player-controlled knights.

  • New feature: In the Troubadour and Knight difficulty modes, if your entire party is killed or knocked unconscious in a battle, you will now have the option to reload the game before the battle.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause the game to crash if there was only one knight left who hadn’t been turned into a sheep at the end of the Bisclavret Adventure and he died.

  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to multiply special horses if they changed mounts during a battle.

  • Fixed the spelling for "Strength" in certain challenges.

Until Next Time

That's what's on the horizon, friends. A new adventure to embark upon, and a way to make the tale of your reign truly your own.

As always, none of this would be possible without you. Thank you for your reviews, your reports, your suggestions, and for continuing to share your journeys with us. If you're enjoying your time in the kingdom and haven't yet left a review on Steam, it means the world to a small team like ours.

We'll see you on the 14th of September.

Until next time!
