Content Update I

Hello everyone!

This is the first major update for the Early Access of Leavers Rift!

I decided to combine the planned content updates I and III into one big update, as both contain new enemies, relics, and events. This made debugging them much easier and more efficient. Especially since several combats were reworked or completely redesigned, as the new enemies are now part of them.

  • 10 new enemies

  • 30+ new relics

  • 18 new events (6 per region)

More than half of the new relics are part of the events. Some cursed relics will also find their way into your collection, whether you like it or not, depending on your decisions during certain events.

Half of the new enemies have settled in Region 2, the Suffering Desert, where the variety of enemies was still somewhat limited, especially since most of the previous Region 2 enemies also have alternative forms in other regions. Get ready to fight the smaller representatives of the monolith!

Furthermore

Buffs:

Legionnaire:

  • Leaking Neadle costs 2 mana (instead of 3)

Bugs fixed:

  • The targeting arrow ignores the heroes now, if they shouldn't be allowed to be targeted. Example: You can't target yourself with your attacks anymore. (Sometimes it's the most obvious things that you overlook.)

  • Cursed Slime has the "Impairment" tag now.

  • Magma has the "Impairment" tag now.

    (Both were just undefined cards, so relics or echos couldn't interact with them.)

  • Loading screen shows the correct encyclopedia entry of the formless. (It's not a snail actually.)

Other:

  • The Monolith boss fight has an altered version depending on the outcome of one of the new events.

  • Adjusted some rewards of harder non-elite battles. More rares and epics!

  • Adjusted some hit boxes of bigger enemies, so it's easier to target enemies behind them.

  • Minor changes to environment design of region 3 boards.

Finally, I would like to clarify once again: Early Access may still be a long way from a financial breakthrough. But development is of course progressing; as this update is intended to prove.

The fourth hero, the Soul Marionette, should be released in November! It is already programmed and in the final testing and artwork phase.

The remaining chapters with the second half of the story and 9 new game boards will be released in January according to plan.

The goal is to release 1.0 in February/March.
