changedVoxel simulation performance has also been improved a lot recently. Large amounts of moving voxels perform a lot better and look better visually. It still is not as good as I'd like it to be and it is something I plan on revisiting.
changedNaturally generating roads and bridges have also been improved. Roads will take more logical paths and bridges will now generate much more consistently and better integrate with the terrain.
changedAs always there have also been many small fixes and improvements. I have also done a fair bit of back end work to better support my future content plans.
addedI am now moving my focus to the next gameplay content update which will primarily feature a new cooking system and improved farming. As always thank you all so much for the support!

Hi Steam Community,

I thought I'd share a quick development update. Over the past few weeks I've primarily been working on improving the two main performance pain points in the game. These were voxel simulation performance and world creation performance.

World creation times are now around 65% faster. On an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D the time to create a world has gone from about 2 minutes to 40 seconds for the same seed.

Voxel simulation performance has also been improved a lot recently. Large amounts of moving voxels perform a lot better and look better visually. It still is not as good as I'd like it to be and it is something I plan on revisiting.

Naturally generating roads and bridges have also been improved. Roads will take more logical paths and bridges will now generate much more consistently and better integrate with the terrain.

As always there have also been many small fixes and improvements. I have also done a fair bit of back end work to better support my future content plans.

I am now moving my focus to the next gameplay content update which will primarily feature a new cooking system and improved farming. As always thank you all so much for the support!
