Landlord Simulator changes
First of all, thank you so much for playing the game and sharing your suggestions. Your feedback since launch has been incredible, and I am closely monitoring everything you write in the community hub.
I wanted to give you a quick update on what I’m currently working on and how your feedback is actively shaping the next major update coming next week.
Balancing & Upcoming Quest System
A lot of you mentioned that the cashflow from gigs isn't ideal, as it forces too much minigame grinding, and the scaling with rent feels unbalanced. To fix this, I am introducing a brand-new Quest System alongside a major balance overhaul:
- Gig Balance ChangesBase gig income will be decreased, but I am introducing Gig Leveling . The more times you complete a specific gig, the higher its level and the better the rewards. Don't worry- all gigs you’ve completed in the past will count toward this progress!
In-Game Quests: Quests will run on an in-game weekly and monthly basis. Tasks will be naturally integrated into the mechanics (e.g., investing $X into stocks/crypto, completing X gigs, upgrading property, or inspecting tenants).
Better Rewards: Quests will offer cash or special perks like temporary income boosts, making them a much more fun and rewarding alternative to grinding minigames.
Quality of Life Improvements (Based on your feedback)
Apart from the progression system, I am also addressing several gameplay tweaks you've asked for:
Tenant Event Spam: I will be decreasing the trigger rate for tenant events to ensure they don't feel overwhelming.
Contact Job Offers: I will reduce the overall frequency of gig offers from contacts. I'm also looking into adding a "gig status" toggle in the findMe app, so you can choose whether you want to receive these offers at all.
Quality of Life: I am considering adding a way to pause the game without having to open the main menu.
More minigames and additional income sources are also planned for the future!
Thank you all again for your immense support and constructive feedback - it is highly appreciated. If you have any other ideas, please don't hesitate to share them in the discussions.
Have fun playing, and stay tuned for the update next week!
