LAN Party changes
Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for all of your support thus far! We've been hard at work fixing bugs and making improvements based on your feedback. While there is a lot included in this patch, we have even more changes planned to release later this week. If you have any feedback for us or encounter any issues, feel free to join our Discord and let us know about it. We're always looking to improve LAN Party as much as possible and your feedback helps us out a ton.
Features:
Added an option for walls, ceilings, and floors in room designer to preserve the aspect ratio of textures.
Added a slider in audio settings to adjust the volume of incoming streams.
Added the ability to test your mic audio in audio settings in order to easily select the correct input device. Includes a bar that displays the audio energy of your voice.
Added an option in camera settings to invert y-axis.
Fixes:
Fixed issue where walls from previous room would appear in blueprint mode.
Bottom right mic/stream buttons no longer show up in avatar and asset importers.
Fixed issue with the camera clipping through walls/objects at certain angles.
Improvements:
Added a button to close the marketplace/library when viewing a specific asset.
Added interactable text box for seeing/changing the scale value for assets in room designer.
Added an "Invite Friends" button in the room UI to make inviting friends to rooms easier.
Made button to start/stop streaming on the bottom right more clear.
We will also be pushing out an experimental branch tomorrow to add stability and fix issues regarding blueprint mode. These are some major foundational changes, so we wanted to make sure this gets fully tested before putting it out on the main branch. This branch will include:
Extensive sanity check for rooms when loading in. This will validate if the room contains a true loop between any of its walls. It will display only the walls in the correct loop and delete all rooms not included. This should fix issues people had where their room bugged and had a bunch of junk walls but they couldn't draw or clear the room. Since this has the capacity to delete walls, we want to test this further to avoid catastrophe.
Fixed the issue where "Loading... 100%" would get stuck on the screen forever if the room has no current walls
When loading into a room without a complete loop, the in-room UI will no longer be overlayed on top of the blueprint/room designer UI. If you've had an issue where the main menu button is covering the "Clear" button in blueprint mode, this fixes that.
We will also be experimenting with fixing some things for Linux users. At the moment, streaming or receiving streams will crash the app for Linux users. We will try a few things on our end to prevent this, but if there are any players out there who have experienced these issues on a Linux machine we would love your help testing this out.
Thanks again everyone!
