Demo Build Update - Subtitles, VFX, and Sticky Notes

addedNic is back from holidays and with that we have been churning away another round of updates. We saw some obvious and not so obvious problems and have smashed away to get this to you as soon as we tested it to be ready. We always believe in making the play experience as best as possible. 'Good' simply isn't enough for us so here is what is now available in the Demo:
addedAdditionsAdded subtitles when the Dr speaks on the megaphones. We kept seeing the speaker move and sometimes you're just in the zone so having subtitles optional helps pop you back out and tune in to what the Dr has to say.
addedAdditionsAdded subtitles toggle to options menu
addedAdditionsAdded VFX for balls spawning from Lott'o'Baller. Nic had a brilliant idea that was so simple we can't believe we missed this from the beginning.
addedAdditionsAdded trigger word popup when a trigger on the ball is successful. Sometimes it was difficult to recognise when an effect on a ball was a success especially with all the new VFX so this should help quite a fair bit.
addedAdditionsAdded sticky note to tap so that players know it isn't a 'thing'

Improvements

  • improved score effect VFX

  • Improved Chexxit to show context sensitive control glyphs instead of pure text

  • Improved player movement speed by 20%. Even we were feeling it was too slow!

Fixes

  • Fixed infinite loop on copying of trigger other effects when the subsequent effect is also a copy effect on the last ball in the pass

  • Fixed copy chain failing when a ball does not have a VFX component to it.

  • Fixed megaphone sounds using the wrong sound channel. Intro and exit sounds are now controlled by the announcer sound slider

  • Fixed ball appearing behind geometry on initial pickup.

  • Fixed bad labels on machines
