Kriophobia changes
Today, we not only want to announce that the demo is available but also express how important this moment is for us.
Who we are Kriophobia is developed by Fira Soft, a small studio based in BrasĂlia. We’ve been in the market for over 10 years, and our main work involves creating games and custom experiences for various clients, because this is how we sustain the company.
However, as passionate game developers, we have always wanted to create our own projects, and Kriophobia is our biggest original project.
Development Journey This game has been with us practically since the company's early days, and the story of Kriophobia is closely tied to our own.
We have been working on this project for over 10 years. Initially, it was designed as a mobile game, targeted at tablets. We went through the old Steam Greenlight, attempted crowdfunding, secured public funding, and even restarted Kriophobia more than once.
We never stopped working on Kriophobia throughout the years. Although we often had to prioritize projects for our clients, we always kept making steady progress, little by little.
Now, after all these years, we have a new, updated demo that reflects the current state of the game's development. And, most importantly, we are finally approaching the game's launch, scheduled for later this year.
Reason for the Long Development Although we have been working on this project for quite a long time, we never intended to become the next big indie revolution or redefine the survival horror genre. The reason we haven’t finished the game sooner is that we always wanted to make it in our own way, according to our standards of quality, and with the time and resources we had available.
No matter how long it would take, we wanted to create the game according to our vision.
So, when you play the demo (or the final version of the game in the future), you can be sure that this project was made with a lot of care, dedication, and 100% of our abilities.
The Demo Is Just the Beginning We are aware of some issues that have already been pointed out and that we intend to fix as soon as possible. These include the lack of colorblind accessibility in certain puzzles and the presence of incorrect Russian text in some items, either due to the use of pseudo-Russian or flawed machine translations.
So that’s it, comrades. We’ll see you in the frozen depths of Siberia. But remember: the cold is only the beginning.
