Hello everyone!

Our 2025.1 build preview is now live in the experimental channel! The main update in this version is the new advanced training options. Head into Free-Training Mode to access these via the Pause Menu. Here's a quick breakdown of the available options in this release:

Display Options

  • Frame Data - Enable Overlay, Underlay, or Adept (Frame-Data Only) display modes to show hitboxes and hurtboxes.

  • Damage - Configure hitboxes to display in Potential Mode, which keeps them onscreen throughout the active phase of attacks, or Active Mode which shows them only whilst they are active, and hides them when they go inactive (upon landing a blow).

  • Background - Change the background between the Arena, Grid View, Gray or Black backdrops.

  • Attack Data - Display the metrics of your attacks, showing the damage dealt for individual hits and combos.

CPU Options

  • CPU Mode - Set the CPU to Idle, Jumping, or AI Mode.

  • CPU Difficulty - Set the CPU difficulty to use for AI Mode.

  • Blocking Mode - Set the CPU to None, All, or Random Blocking Mode.

  • Quick Recovery Mode - Set the CPU to None, All, or Random Quick Recovery Mode.

  • Burst Meter Mode - Set the Burst Meter to Refill, Standard or Unlimited Mode.

  • Reset Gameplay - Perform a full reset on the gameplay state, resetting all meters and placing fighters back into their starting stances.

This is the first phase of our training tools, and we plan to add additional features to the suite in a future update. A few upcoming features include Player 2, Record, and Playback functions for the CPU fighter, and additional gameplay metrics including realtime frame advantage calculations, frame timing breakdowns and damage timings for multi-hit attacks.

In addition to the training features, a few gameplay fixes were introduced to correct issues with premature hitstun termination and a few other minor issues that were identified.

Feel free to drop some feedback in our Discord on the new training tools, and until next update, happy training!
