最初にオーディションの話を頂いた時、テイは他人に興味がなく、交流も求めていないような人物だと思っていたのですが、実際台本を頂いて演じてみると、マルガに対する不器用な優しさであったり、トファーフに対する感情であったり、とても人間味のある人物だと感じました。ただ、テイとしてはあまり怒り以外の感情を表に出すタイプではないと思うので、抑えつつもどう感情を表現するかがとても大変でした。

Question 2: Please tell us about your experience before and after portraying your character.

When I first heard about the audition, I thought Tay was someone who had no interest in others and didn't seek connection. But after actually receiving the script and performing the role, I felt he was a very human character—with his clumsy kindness toward Margot and his feelings toward Tofaf. However, I don't think Tay is the type to show much emotion besides anger, so it was incredibly challenging to express his feelings while holding them back.

トファーフは凄く優しい人だと感じました。自分のことを恨んでいるテイにすら歩み寄ろうとするなんてなかなかできることではありません。その優しさ故にテイとは袂を分かつことになりますが、きっとトファーフのしたことは正しかったんだと思います。

トファーフとの会話では普段はそっけないテイの感情が爆発するので演じるのがとても楽しかったです。

I felt Tofaf was an incredibly kind person. Trying to reach out even to Tei, who resented him, is no small feat. That very kindness led to his parting ways with Tei, but I truly believe what Tofaf did was right.

In the scenes with Tofaf, Tei's usually aloof emotions would erupt, which made playing the role incredibly enjoyable.
