Friends, hello! We’ve been closely reading your feedback and we see the frustration around the revival system feeling unfair and tedious. We want to smooth things out a bit by adjusting the current resurrection rules.

removedRemoved the dynamic revival price increase based on the number of players present in a session. The base revival cost is now 6 bottles (on Normal difficulty).
addedAdded dynamic price reductions based on the number of dead players. In a 3-player session with 2 dead players, the first prisoner's revival will cost ⅓ of the base price, and the second one will cost ½.
changedSlightly increased the spawn chance of the Live Beer vending machine.
changedSlightly increased the spawn chance of the Golden Live Beer vending machine, which revives all dead players in the session.
changedReduced the base spawn chance of the Warden in the Prison biome. His spawn chance now increases as you progress through the biome.

We’ve been closely reading your feedback and we see the frustration around the revival system feeling unfair and tedious. We want to smooth things out a bit by adjusting the current resurrection rules.

In the future, we’re planning a full overhaul of the system — from introducing an automatic revival timer to completely reworking (or even replacing) the ghost mechanic. If you have ideas, drop them in the comments under this post. We’re always happy to hear your thoughts.

  • Removed the dynamic revival price increase based on the number of players present in a session. The base revival cost is now 6 bottles (on Normal difficulty).

  • Added dynamic price reductions based on the number of dead players. In a 3-player session with 2 dead players, the first prisoner's revival will cost ⅓ of the base price, and the second one will cost ½.

  • Slightly increased the spawn chance of the Live Beer vending machine.

  • Slightly increased the spawn chance of the Golden Live Beer vending machine, which revives all dead players in the session.

  • As before, each death still applies a small penalty in the form of a slightly higher cost for subsequent revivals.

  • Reduced the base spawn chance of the Warden in the Prison biome. His spawn chance now increases as you progress through the biome.

  • Slightly increased the healing amount of all relevant items.

  • Updated the build in the crossplay-stable branch with crash fixes.
