Kitman changes
After a highly successful alpha playtest with over 50,000 sign-ups,we’ve been asked (a lot) for another opportunity to play Kitman!
Well since you asked nicely... say hello to 🏆 The Kitman World Cup 🏆
From June 28th to July 19th, players will be able to access the Kitman alpha once more, this time with their performance scored.
The top score from each country will be automatically entered in the active round, with nations going head-to-head in a knockout tournament to find which country has the best kitmen in the world!
How to Play
Players can apply to join in via player.gg:
Places in the Kitman World Cup are limited, but a spot can be guaranteed by inviting 3+ friends. Other applicants will enter a lottery for access to the playtest.
If you are granted access, Kitman will once again pop up in your Steam library.
In the game, after the opening tutorial match, you will be asked to pick your country and will be scored based on your performance in subsequent matches. Countries will go head to head until only the nation with the world’s best kitman remains!
Knockout Rounds
June 28th - July 3rd — Round of 32
July 4th - 7th — Round of 16
July 8th - 12th — Quarter Finals
July 13 - 15th — Semi Finals
July 17th - 19th — Final
The top score from each country will be automatically submitted as that nation’s entry for the active round of the knockout tournament
Who’s Playing
The contest consists of 32 teams, seeded based on the top wishlist regions for the game: Brazil, Turkey, the United States, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, England, France, Italy, Poland, Czechia, Chile, Romania, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Canada, Mexico, Belgium, Colombia, Hungary, Norway, Australia, Japan, Switzerland, Austria, Greece, Uruguay, Finland, Russia, and a team made up of players from the rest of the world.
How to Follow Along
At the end of each round the tournament table results will be posted here on Steam, and over on the Outlier Discord. We encourage you to join us there if you haven’t already to cheer on your team, and maybe even engage in a little friendly discussion with your opponents.
We hope you enjoy this latest playtest, and may the best team win!
Love,
Paul & the Outlier team
