Kitman Playtest Results & Next Steps

Now that the first Kitman playtest is closed we thought it would be a good opportunity to talk about the findings, next steps, and (drumroll...) the next playtest!

Firstly, thank you to everyone who tried the game over the last week! The playtest was a HUGE success and well beyond what we could have hoped for. In the end the playtest had over 24,000 players, more than 4,000 survey responses, and an average rating of 7.84 / 10.

UPCOMING DEVELOPMENT

Top rated elements were:

• Gameplay (8.1/10)

• Performance (7.9/10)

• Visuals (7.9/10)

• Stability (7.6/10)

The areas needing the most work are:

• Tutorials (6.7/10)

• Audio (6.7/10)

We'll therefore be focusing on a few key areas before releasing the demo based on your feedback:

1. Overhauled tutorials and more guidance on how to use each bit of equipment

2. More interesting unlocks and task variation for the early matches

3. Customizable team, kit, and kitman

4. More interaction between players in multiplayer

5. And lots more!

THE NEXT PLAYTEST

Despite over 24,000(!) people playing, we still received thousands of requests from people who didn't have a chance to try the game.

We're therefore delighted to introduce...

🏆 THE KITMAN WORLD CUP 🏆

From June 28th to July 19th, we will be reopening the playtest, this time with your performance scored.

The top score from each country will be automatically entered in the active round, with nations going head-to-head in a knockout tournament to find which country has the best kitmen in the world!
