KIPIDON: We Will Always Love You changes
Hi! This will probably be the final update to the demo unless something game breaking is in it as I type this (which their shouldn't be lol). Through getting feedback from friends and strangers alike, as well as re-evaluating the game on my own, here are some of the changes made to improve the game!:
Changelog
Added a new dash move that can be temporarily activated by double tapping forward.
Adjusted rank requirements to be less unfair.
Added dialog text that explains what Rapid Shot is, as it was kind of confusing to most players.
Rapid shot no longer requires stamina because that is stupid.
Light performance optimizations.
Redone HUD face animations.
Added a new state to the flower icon in the gameplay HUD so that your progress in a level is a bit more clear.
Fixed a crash that would occur if you fail the Residential section of the 4th level and then try any level.
Renamed second level to "City School District" because it makes more sense and doesnt sound like a fucking sonic the hedgehog level.
Added an option that allows you to only render the game in it's original resolution.
Resolution option shows the dimensions of the window. (This is hidden when in fullscreen, as to avoid any confusion of it having any effect in fullscreen)
Fixed area in the Cicada Residential District where you could jump out of bounds.
Made the Residence area of the Cicada District a little more easier to notice.
Fixed issue where the framing of one camera in the 2nd level's cutscene would be messed up if playing in a 4:3 aspect ratio resolution.
Added high score to the level select.
Decreased font size of the level descriptions in the level select.
Added a new scene to the 4th level's cutscene.
Fixed issue where heart points and score accumulated after timer went out didn't get added to the score when reaching the rank screen. (e.g. if u collected CDs after the timer went out or if u got someone right after the timer expired).
Fixed verrry minor issue where the internal count of your total collected heart points would be doubled temporarily (this never became much of an issue since it corrects this during autosaving. but i still decided to fix this just in case.)
