changeda return to the purest romance of fighting games—"1v1 3D Weapon Fighting."
changedWhat we aim to create is not just the Three Kingdoms from your memory, but a life-and-death psychological battle of real steel. Here, the rules of victory are extremely simple: deplete your opponent's health to zero (K.O.) before time runs out; if the battle lasts until the final second, the side with the health advantage claims the win.
changedCore Concept: Discarding mindless button mashing, every strike and action demands precise timing.

Dear Players,

As the 2nd Demo Test for Kingdom Heroes: Arena approaches, today we want to speak from the development team's perspective about the "starting point" and "core design philosophy" of this game.

Our core objective has always remained the same:

a return to the purest romance of fighting games—"1v1 3D Weapon Fighting."

What we aim to create is not just the Three Kingdoms from your memory, but a life-and-death psychological battle of real steel. Here, the rules of victory are extremely simple: deplete your opponent's health to zero (K.O.) before time runs out; if the battle lasts until the final second, the side with the health advantage claims the win.

To achieve the hit impact and depth expected of a major 3D fighting game, we have repeatedly deconstructed and polished every detail of the combat system. Below, we will break down the three main pillars of our combat system and our development mindset:

■ Precise Offense and Defense — Timing is Life or Death

Core Concept: Discarding mindless button mashing, every strike and action demands precise timing.

Development Details: The team has established strict rules for offensive and defensive hitboxes. Reckless whiffing carries immense recovery frames and risk, while every precise block and punish is accompanied by solid visual and audio feedback, giving every clash of weapons a true sense of weight.

Combat Application: Carefully observing your opponent's habits, baiting their attacks, and seizing openings to counter are the true keys to victory in this game.

■ Unique Stances and Weapons — Subverting Traditional Combat Logic

Core Concept: Ensuring that the differences between generals go beyond mere appearance, reflecting deeply in their tactical styles.

Development Details: We tailored unique combo routes and a "Stance" system for different weapons. The same weapon in different stances will have completely different attack ranges, rhythms, and pressure capabilities.

Combat Application: Thoroughly mastering the characteristics of your weapon and memorizing the blind spots of your opponent's weapon is crucial. Knowing exactly when to switch stances will determine whether you can dictate the flow of the match.

■ 3D Spatial Movement — Psychological Warfare Beyond the 2D Plane

Core Concept: A real battlefield is never just about moving forward and backward; utilizing 3D space is the true essence.

Development Details: We heavily emphasized the "sidestep" and "side dodge" mechanics. Through meticulous tuning of collision boxes, 3D movement has become the most effective way to evade linear attacks.

Combat Application: When facing a relentless assault, rather than passively blocking, it's better to use lateral movement to create flanking openings. Mastering 3D movement will be a mandatory course for beginners aiming to become high-level players.

■ In-game Gameplay Showcase

We know that the learning curve for hardcore fighting games can be highly challenging. Therefore, whether you are a battle-hardened veteran looking to reignite your passion or a newcomer eager to start from scratch, our carefully crafted "Training Mode" will be your best support system for getting familiar with your weapons.

Finally, to let more people experience the charm of fighting games, we have specifically simplified traditional complex "motion inputs." This not only preserves the depth for veteran players to showcase their skills, but also significantly lowers the barrier to entry for beginners. Even players who aren't typically good at fighting games can easily pick it up and enjoy the thrill of a one-strike victory. In the future, we will also launch mobile versions (Android/iOS) and are actively preparing a PS5 version, ensuring that all players can experience the most passionate and pure competitive battles on this battlefield.

The 2nd Demo for Kingdom Heroes: Arena will be open from April 30 to May 5. We sincerely invite everyone to step onto this battlefield yourselves and help us polish this pure fighting experience together!
