It's been so nice to see people enjoying a project that we have spent over two years working on!!

A few people have already managed to 100% the game, which is very impressive!

Thanks in-part to the thorough work of those completionists, we have uncovered some bugs, and made a few other quality-of-life improvements:

  • The “Fewer Moving Cameras” accessibility option was causing some doors to break. Shoutout to Yekob for finding this, and being really thorough in searching for instances of the bug! - this has now been fixed, but let us know if we missed a door!

  • Audio settings weren't saving - This has now been fixed!

  • You could soft-lock yourself out of the last node if you closed the game at the wrong time. - The level design has now been tweaked to prevent this issue

  • Portcullis gates now make a sound when opened

  • A few of tweaks to gardens dialogue

  • Fixed the Crown door consuming the wrong keys on refresh

  • Made the mirror door work

  • Reduced the bat wing volume a little

There is still a big list of tweaks, additions, and improvements we'd like to add to the game, but some that I've seen players asking for are:

  • An option to provide a more pronounced outline for the player.

  • Some tweaks to the aim-assistance when you are close to monsters, to avoid getting trapped.

  • Being able to pass through monsters for a second after getting hit (also to avoid getting trapped).

  • More navigational aids.

  • More end-game dialogue.

So we will be working on addressing these things in the following weeks!

Again, thank you to everyone who has played!

And, if you enjoyed Key Fairy, it would mean a lot of you left a Review! Steam reviews have such a big impact on small teams like ours, and I can't overstate how appreciative we are for them!

Now our tale is done, off you scurry, to haunt the patch notes of another game.
