Katanaut changes
I've been working on this for a while, and v1.1 is my first big step since launch, and it is built directly from your feedback. It adds global competition, new places to push into, new build options, and plenty of new things to mess around with!
Global leaderboards (6 total)
Each leaderboard has a visible trophy holder. If you are in first place, the game shows it to everyone.
Fastest Clear: Warp 0 - Fastest Clear: Warp 1 - Fastest Clear: Warp 2 - Fastest Clear: Warp 3 - Most Enemies Killed - Most Currency Collected
New content and variety
- New areasService Tunnels, Sewers, The Aether - New enemies and new boss encounters (I am keeping these vague on purpose) - New blades: Weaver Fang and Leedra’s Scale, adding more build variety - Boss loot implemented - Elevator level selection animation - New weapon tutorial animations and updated weapon placement
Gameplay and balance
Added a “Cause of Death” label to the death screen - Added a new syringe - Reduced all boss HP by 15% - Holograms drop loot much quicker - Improved monster crushing effects when crushed by Level 5 crushers - Added spawn protection so enemies cannot target you when entering a level until you move or take an action
Performance
Optimized blood effects when hitting one way platforms - Added performance enhancements to help stabilize lag in larger levels
Bug fixes
Fixed skill orb menu recycle and exit buttons not clickable with mouse - Fixed an issue where the final boss could still be damaged while teleporting or invisible - Fixed garden portals sometimes spawning on top of NPC interaction zones - Fixed Level 5 crushers pushing Luremaw into a bugged state when crushing it - Fixed a handful of translation issues based on bug report feedback - Fixed Luremaw despawning if damaged too early during its transformation
Breaking news
Console ports are happening. I am actively working on bringing Katanaut to Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. I will share more once I have solid dates.
