removedDue to the ongoing volatility of the game industry sadly, W.R.K.S Games has shuttered its development and publishing operations as a company as of October 1st. We are not in dire straits, but we do think that the mid-market of the game industry is no longer viable for self-funded self-published indies in the current and near-term future of the industry.
addedAll the full-time staff was outplaced to new jobs and the shutdown is graceful. W.R.K.S Games is going to continue to exist as a company that licenses its IP to third parties to continue development and fan engagement.
changedFor video games like Shinobi Rising, as the original Founder of W.R.K.S Games, I will own the license to continue the development of the games on my own label Kos Games and you will see this reflected on the Steam page as of now. The game will continue its development and the fan base will continue to be supported by my personal label. I are aiming for an AA-quality standard of games with a small independent team.
addedI am going to post on going updates here regularly on how the revamp of this game is going, and to start off with I am going to be upscaling the visual fidelity of the game, adding RTX and DLSS to the title and significantly more controls to graphics and video settings including HDR support. Here is the preview of the settings you will have access to when the new 2.0 update launches.

I will helm lead development myself on the upcoming major changes to Shinobi Rising and other future games in the Katana-Ra IP universe.
