Kardiya: The Winds of Fate changes

changedWe rolled real fudge dice, printed the in-game items as cards, and played one-on-one with players. Every encounter, every decision was progressed together. It turned into a very different and genuinely fun experience for both us and the players.
changedThe most enjoyable part was this: We asked players to design their own items for Kardiya. We put their creations on a wall, and throughout the day that wall kept growing. We received a lot of creative ideas that directly resonated with the spirit of the game.
changedIf you would like to participate, you can sign up for our mailing list on our website . We will be sending out application forms soon. And yes, just like at the festival, we will also give players the opportunity to design their own items during the playtest.

Greetings from the winds of Kardiya,

A few days ago, we brought Kardiya: The Winds of Fate to players at GG Convention. Since not all of our mechanics are fully implemented yet, we approached the experience differently. Instead of a digital build, we ran it physically. Yes, one of us literally acted as the GM and we played it like a tabletop RPG.

We rolled real fudge dice, printed the in-game items as cards, and played one-on-one with players. Every encounter, every decision was progressed together. It turned into a very different and genuinely fun experience for both us and the players.

The most enjoyable part was this: We asked players to design their own items for Kardiya. We put their creations on a wall, and throughout the day that wall kept growing. We received a lot of creative ideas that directly resonated with the spirit of the game.

We also brought a life-size print of Lilith from Livber, and of course our amazing CEO Yel was there as well ^^

And this actually happened: Harry Du Bois (two Harrys) from Disco played our game. What more could an RPG creator ask for? <3

The next step is making Kardiya playable online. We are very close. Most likely, we will launch our first online alpha playtest at the beginning of next month.

If you would like to participate, you can sign up for our mailing list on our website. We will be sending out application forms soon. And yes, just like at the festival, we will also give players the opportunity to design their own items during the playtest.

Thank you for being with us.
