There are more updates on the horizon, this update is intended to fix some immediate issues and sets us up for more future development. Laying the foundation to bring fixes, new features and expand Just Cause 3 Multiplayer to what it should have been.
Alongside this Client update, the website at https://just-cause.mp has also received a major face-lift, bringing it more in-line with the art-direction of Just Cause.
We are also launching a new feedback/bug-report system at https://feedback.just-cause.mp, if you encounter issues, have feature requests or suggestions for improvements, let me know. I'm excited what we can do here and looking forward to building more exciting things.
In the meantime, client update 1.0.7 is now live on steam! See the changes below.
Client
Fixed Windows 11 crash on launch
Fixed SteamDeck (Proton) crash on launch
Updated internals for the non-denuvo build of Just Cause 3
This removes compatibility with the lastrelease branch of Just Cause 3.
Use the default Just Cause 3 release branch going forward.
Hardened launch code, several internal issues resolved, making the launch process more reliable
Updated Main UI -- a fresh new look, for a fresh start. Some might remember this one from 1.1 blog posts in the past :)
Updated CEF to 146
Updated V8 script engine to V8 14.3 via Node 26
Updated internal tooling and build systems to allow future development
There is more work to be done, and a lot of code needs some love, this will be an iterative process, and will be done over the next few updates as work completes.
Server
An updated server build with updated internals will be shared at a later date.
Some more immediate things coming are some of the features that were in-progress for the original 1.1 update.
In the near future, I'll share a roadmap about what's coming and where I want the mod to go. Can't wait to hearing what ideas y'all have.
Shoutout to LukeJC for reaching out to me which got me to actually look at this again.
