"LAUNCH" DATE ANNOUNCED

Howdy ho all you amazing people!

! wanted to come to you all with a bit of great news! Just Another Boomer Shooter now has an official release date! (Assuming the build gets approved by then, but I'm sure it will.)

Now, there has been a huge surge of interest since the trailer dropped, so there are a few things I want to clear up before it drops, in order to set expectations.

When is the release date?

The game will be launching on my 21st birthday, February 13th 2026! Can you believe it? Just a month away. Just ANOTHER month away, if you will. It will be dropping into "Early Access" with plenty of planned content updates to come in the future.

Early access?

Yes, while the game is not finished, the base of it is ready to be played. You may be asking "Hey Voyd, why release it at all if it isn't finished?" Well for one, it's a parody of AAA gaming. I'd be doing a disservice to the vibe if I didn't. But the real reason is because I want to give the opportunity to support the development to anyone who wants it. As a starving unemployed game-dev hoping to go back to school for game design next year, it'd be nice to have a way to make a couple bucks here and there from generous supporters who believe in the project.

So... How much will it be?

$9.99 USD, or $9.99 CAD for those in Canada

Trust me, I am aware that the current state of the game is not worth $10. If it wasn't my own game, I probably wouldn't spend that much on this. And I wouldn't ask you to either. The price is not going to change (at least not go higher), so you could consider it an investment, however I would never fault someone for balking at the price tag. Sometime within the first few updates, there will be a free demo dropping, so you'll have a chance to try before you buy when that releases.

If you don't think it's worth it, then how much content is there?

Well, that really depends on how much you want to replay it. There's currently only 3 levels, including a boss fight, so I'd say a single playthrough is about 30 minutes. But that doesn't mean you can't get more enjoyment out of it. There are secrets to find and high scores to beat, after all.

That's pretty much it for now, I just wanted to make sure expectations were set properly before launch. Love you all, and I hope one of the future updates will justify those 10 beans for you!
