Just Another Boomer Shooter changes
VIBE CHECKPOINT!
(Ver: 2.0.0)
You must be this cool to enjoy this game, and luckily, you have passed the vibe check! Many huge changes and overhauls have been implemented in this update, so let's just run through them real quick:
New Movement!
The physics have been retouched and re-imagined to create a more fluid and enjoyable experience. Speed has been increased, many (but not all) weird collisions have been fixed, and new mechanics like sprinting, wallrunning and sliding!
Weapon Changes
The old weapons were a controversial part of the game, so I am mixed to announce that they have all been removed! No, I'm not joking, I have removed every weapon from the game and replaced them with dual desert eagles. They're about as powerful as the previous AUG, but with a faster fire rate. The weapons that have been removed will not be gone forever, however, so stay tuned for future updates.
HUD Change
The old HUD was a fun homage to the original DOOM games, however it was pretty ugly and hard to read, so it's been completely redesigned for better visibility and easier readability. On top of that, damage numbers, which have caused the most confusion amongst players, have been changed to point numbers in order to better telegraph positive reinforcement.
Level Revamps
Two levels have been redesigned from the ground-up!
The FNAF level is now more than just one room. In fact, it is a (almost) perfect recreation of the first Freddy's location! More spawns have been added for more variation, and even FNAF-themed reskins of the enemies have been added for the hell of it. (Does this mean it's a FNAF fan-game now?)
The Newgrounds Tank Guy boss battle has been re-imagined as well! Although, I recommend trying that out for yourself.
On top of all that, health and ammo drops being added to every level (to prevent softlocks), monitors have been added (linked to cameras, so you can watch yourself in-game!), and even some thematic props to give the game a bit of an aesthetic overhaul.
The monitors also show your time in the level, and have a fun feature for Twitch Streamers where if you authenticate your Twitch account on the main menu, you can also see your Twitch chat diegetically!
Sensitivity Slider
JABS's most requested feature, the sensitivity slider, has finally been implemented!!
Bug and Audio Fixes
I won't bore you with every tiny bug fix, but I do find it important to mention that many audio sources that were previously unaffected by the volume slider have been fixed. I believe all of them should be rectified, however one or two may have slipped by.
And that's about it!
There's been some other assorted additions and changes, but they mostly aren't worth getting into. I would, however, like to take a moment to talk about some of the planned future content for the game, to keep you all excited. Below is a list of possible features that I would like to add in the future:
Weapon swaps
Weapon skins
Shop
Many, many new levels
LLOOOOORRRRREEEE
Dialogue/Voice acting
Saved/Best Times
More!!
That's gonna do it for me today, I've been Voyd, and enjoy!
