Who is Browariusz? 🍺
Hi, Janitor! Let me introduce you to Browariusz. He’s no ordinary homeless person - he’s an independent entrepreneur who simply chose to give up paying rent in favour of freedom and sleeping under the stars. He used to be a warehouse manager at a retail headquarters (hence his incredible connections and knowledge of where to flog ‘booze’ at double the profit), but an unfortunate scandal cost him his job and the roof over his head. Now he’s building his own empire right under your block of flats. You bring him bottles to top up your caretaker’s wages, he gives you a few pennies, and he himself makes a fortune from it, of which you have no idea. Pure capitalism in the shadow of the prefab block!

In addition, we’ve introduced a number of new mechanics and features, here they are:
🔹 visual improvements, shadows and lighting
🔹 performance fixes and optimisation – a 70% performance boost!
🔹 expansion of events (quests): rejecting tasks resets faults, improved fault generation system. Faults are divided into ‘in flats’ and ‘block’
🔹 fixes and addition of further UI elements
🔹 bottle collection in the form of the Browariusz
🔹 fixes to save/load logic
🔹 Input fixes – e.g. fixing clicks on specific buttons such as ESC
🔹 The intercom has been fixed so that the cables assigned to flats are the ones that wear out
🔹 Added a skill tree with actual skills: throwing objects with greater force, 2x more cash for bottle collection, unlocking a rubbish bin for purchase (thanks to this, NPCs will, to a certain extent, not litter the stairwell but throw rubbish into the bin), and larger rubbish bags
🔹 Addition of the BOLF II car, which the player must repair (i.e. mudguards, bumpers, doors, seat, engine, wheels).
🔹 Money spawns on the street
🔹 Addition of drunks who wander about and stink. You have to bribe them to make them go away. People react to homeless people in the area
🔹 Addition of a thief – he appears in the bushes and waits until night falls. If you don’t inform the police, the thief will break into the block of flats!
🔹 Addition of a policeman and a phone to call the police. You can call the police once a day. If you do so correctly – for example, if a thief is hiding in the bushes – the policeman will catch him and you’ll receive a reward! If you call them unnecessarily – that is, when there is no thief – you will face a penalty!
🔹 The tramp and the police officer’s pursuit have their own dedicated ambient music tracks when they are near the player
🔹 Blockers have been added; they spawn in random locations. The player can bribe them with a packet of cigarettes to make them leave. If you don’t do this, the next day there will be graffiti on a nearby wall that needs to be painted over, and residents will react negatively to such graffiti
🔹 Realistic graffiti system
🔹 Bench repair mechanic: hammer in X nails within a set time limit – a mechanic similar to whack-a-mole-style games
🔹 Added tutorial pop-ups (the game detects when the player does something for the first time and displays hints)
🔹 Addition of a boss who assesses your weekly work (every Sunday). If you’ve earned it, you’ll receive a reward; if not, a penalty!
🔹 Implementation of custom GPU instancing – the grass is very efficient and realistic
