Hi Janitors!
I’ve been checking social media, and some players (especially on TikTok!) have suggested that the game will end with the trailer (which, I must admit, is very interesting – I recommend giving it a watch) or with a DEMO. Nothing could be further from the truth! We’re working hard on the DEMO version, but at the same time we’re also working on the Early Access version. I’m sure you’re wondering what we’ve got planned for the game?
What can you expect? 🕵
👉 We’re currently building a block of flats where you’ll be able to customise, paint, decorate or even destroy it as you please – and it contains as many as 40 flats. You’ll be getting them ready for new tenants to move in. More tenants mean a higher percentage of rent, but also more mess (they’ll throw rubbish about, make stains, cause damage, block the rubbish chute, break the lift and much more)
👉 The game features full physics – you can throw a ball, smash windows, bottles and so on.
👉 The intercom, the heart of the block, regularly breaks down and requires regular repairs
👉 Interaction system with an outline
👉 Daily cycle with a calendar – we start on 28 May 1990! Additionally, we’ve introduced a room identification system (showing where you currently are in the block) + a reputation system (sloppy or professional)
👉 Furnish the flats, decorate them, place furniture and ornaments (with a hint system on the right)
👉 Rubbish, bottles – collect and tidy them up; they are also fully physical
👉 Black Despair – a rubbish bag. It helps you collect rubbish faster. The player’s essential tool
👉 Circle inventory – your most important tools are always with you; you’ll never lose them
👉 Wrench
👉 Paintbrush and paint for… well, almost everything: walls, gates, doors, window sills. Do whatever you like, player. But be careful, the brush drips and leaves marks on the floor; don’t forget to clean them up
👉 Broom for sweeping – gather piles of sand into larger ones before scooping them up with the dustpan – it’ll save you a lot of running about. Or sweep the rubbish under your neighbour’s doormat... :P
👉 a screwdriver
👉 a hammer, but be careful – you might damage the walls or leave holes. The longer you wind up the hammer, the harder it is to hit the target
👉 be like the local basketball player and throw rubbish into the bin
👉 green window sill? no problem
👉 screwing in light bulbs, but be careful not to overdo it or you’ll break the bulb and end up with glass to clean up
👉 electricity in the block
👉 a roof full of surprises...
👉 inventory system, fill your pockets with items
👉 save/load system for every one of your paintings
👉 lockpicking – sneak around, steal, be clever; after all, you’ve got to get something out of it too...
👉 vegetation – ivy growing on the block; cut it back regularly, as the residents really don’t like it and will complain
⤵️ As you can see, the game already has a huge amount of content. And as we all know, this is just the beginning! Keep an eye on the game and stay up to date: Add it to your wishlist.
How do you do that?
Click ‘Follow’ and ‘Add to wishlist’. DONE! Now you’ll stay up to date with the game.
Thanks! If you have questions, let me know.
