Jack's 510 Racing changes
Gameplay & Balance
Police AI Rebalance: To help players at the start of a run, Police now start slower and with less weight. Their difficulty will gradually scale back to original values over the course of a 10-minute session.
Handling Tweaks: The Handbrake has been buffed for more stopping power, and the Hot Rod suspension has been tuned to be significantly less "bouncy."
- Road AdjustmentsSeveral checkpoints have been moved to not overlap builds, and various road colliders have been adjusted to prevent snagging.
Bug Fixes & Achievements
- Mouse CursorFixed a bug where the mouse cursor would not reappear after moving the mouse.
- UFO AchievementsFixed issues with achievements tied to time lasted in Chase Mode.
- Menu LogicFixed a critical bug where selecting steering wheel controls prevented players from returning to the main menu after a game restart.
Achievement Tracking: The "All Cars" achievement is now checked more frequently to ensure it triggers correctly upon completion.
Visuals & Camera
Driver Camera: Re-centered the interior camera to align better with the steering wheel for a more natural perspective.
UI Updates: Refreshed the Armor icons for better clarity.
Known Issue: Steering Wheel Support
I’m aware that Steering Wheel input is currently not functioning as intended for some setups.
Because I am currently away from my home development rig, I don't have my physical wheel on hand to properly debug and test the input mapping. This is my top priority as soon as I return in a few weeks. I appreciate your patience while I get back to my hardware to get this fixed for you!
Special Thanks
Special thanks to power_man_901 and Rico for their suggestions and feedback! Your input was instrumental in helping me track down these bugs and fine-tune the balancing.
Thanks for playing and for the continued support!
