0.3.0 "Wholesale"

Big update. This will likely break your save - apologies. We'll try to limit how often that happens, but a lot of stuff changed in this one.

Wholesale

  • you now buy preset sizes of crates full of items from the vendor. These have increasing discounts and delivery times, up to a max of 55% off RRP / 12 in-game hours.

  • these get sent to the delivery depot near your shop. You can see what's coming in the Deliveries tab in the ledger (tab menu)

-dungeons now generally have open crates for loot, with some rooms having locked chests (and the boss loot is always in locked chests)

Build Mode

  • moving crates are no more! you now just press B to enter build mode and left/right click to place/remove; you press F to open the menu and pick tiles, then spend money directly.

  • most buildables now snap to a proper grid; no more misaligning floors!

  • several decorative pieces

  • new shelves - tall cubby (8 small shelves), wall shelf (wide, short, attaches flush to wall), precious and wide precious shelves (holds only unique items like artifacts)

  • cubby and tall cubby are a new type of shelf, "personal"; employees and customers will never touch these, so you can leave your stuff in them.

Items

  • artifacts: procedurally generated treasures in the ancient temple with random values and appearances. these are the first big ticket items - they can be worth as much as 1g. but NPCs won't be able to afford that unless you meet their needs consistently. These have a set price each and can only be held in special shelves.

  • scythe, fishing hook, bait, seed bag

  • shuffled around vendor starting stock and upgrade cost. Broadly, higher need fulfillment values (water = 1, rum = 2, wine = 3 etc) will cost more to unlock

Optimisation

  • changed all the non-moving item stacks to just represent their items visually; should make for a large performance increase when you have lots of items around

  • put the "escape menu" in a ledger tab, and fixed various issues where you'd press escape in a menu and the escape menu would open unexpectedly

  • boxes in your hand will show their contents in the hud slot, instead of the box itself

UI

  • when looking at a sales stack, show item price in crosshair info box

  • better gamepad support (let me know)

Fixes

  • various interface, navigation, npc logic issues fixed. more as they come

  • possible linux crash fix (I just keep fixing screen reader related warnings whenever I see them, maybe this will do it)

  • you can move a little in the air, to help you jump over the fence from a standing start. will probably increase this more

-quest improvements, and the beginning of a main quest (only 2 steps currently)
