Isle of trees changes
Happy New Year everybody! December's been quite eventful. Seems like it's been going on for at least 3 months. Here are a few updates we would like to share with you.
New Stem key art When designing our original art for Steam we decided to try to do it ourselves. We are not illustrators (can you tell?) but we were satisfied with the result at the time. We knew however that we would need to improve it down the road as it is quite an important piece of marketing. This time we commissioned an actual illustrator and you might be able to see the difference. We also updated the logo to go with the new vibe. Steam post image
Save system We started to work on the save system. It's our first time implementing one so it took us some time to really understand what approach would work best for our game. We want the player to be able to save the game at any time. We've already implemented the core components but realized that we will have to rewrite some code to make it possible to really save the game without loosing any progress. Sometimes one needs to make a step back to move forward.
Some additional functionalities We've also been working on some additional functionalities. We'll save the details for later but it does involve hats, a diving board and a super fun mini game. Very exciting stuff. Steam post imageEnjoy the first month of 2026! M&V
