This week, we continued active work on Is There a Way? and made another important step toward release.

What happened this week:

  • [c]created a rough cut of the new trailer [/c]

  • [c]prepared a new batch of backgrounds [/c]

  • [c]prepared a new batch of character assets [/c]

  • [c]started making new screenshots for the Steam page [/c]

  • [c]fixed several bugs discovered during the playtest[/c]

  • [c]moved closer to the end of our first closed playtest [/c]

  • [c]continued preparing more actively for release [/c]

Right now, we are putting special focus on how the game is presented on Steam. We want the trailer and screenshots to do more than simply show beautiful scenes — they should communicate the actual experience of the game: the atmosphere of a Soviet psychiatric hospital, tense dialogue, meaningful choices, consequences, and the anxiety at the core of Case No. 17.

The rough cut of the trailer is already assembled, and we will soon move on to final polishing. At the same time, we are updating the visual materials: preparing new backgrounds, new character assets, and a new set of screenshots that better reflect the tone and essence of the game.

In addition, our first playtest is gradually coming to an end. It has already helped us identify several issues, fix bugs, and better understand which parts of the project need to be strengthened before the next stage.

And just as planned, we are moving more and more actively toward release.

Thank you for following the project and supporting us. If you have not added Is There a Way? to your wishlist yet, now is the perfect time.
