Iron Graves changes
Salutations, scavengers! A new system update has been deployed to the derelict network. In this patch, we are introducing stacking risk-reward multipliers, dynamic ship themes, important range validation fixes for door interactions, and visual enhancements. Here is the complete changelog for version 0.5.4:
Gameplay & Risk Reward
Stacking Hazard Multipliers
Loot budget calculations now factor in the dangers of the derelict.
All hazard bonuses stack
Threats & Monsters: +30% loot yield.
Radiation: +10% for Moderate (L1) and +25% for Extreme (L2) radiation.
Organic Infestation: +15% loot yield.
Toxicity (Gas Hazards): +15% loot yield.
- Door Interaction Range FixAdded strict adjacency validation for door interactions in the player controller. Players and drones must now be within a grid distance of 1 tile to operate doors, preventing interactions from too far away.
- Hydraulic Jaws (Spreader) AdjacencyAdjusted the weapon's interaction check to require a strict tile distance of 1 grid unit rather than a simple 3D distance radius.
Visuals & Generation
Dynamic Theme Variants: Ships will now generate with randomized floor and wall variant tiles matching their theme (Military, Industrial, Retro), creating more organic, diverse, and visually detailed interiors.
Asset Pixelation Fix: Configured mipmaps correctly across dozens of textures to eliminate pixelation and noise when viewing textures from a distance or at an angle.
- Anti-Aliasing DebandingEnabled debanding under project quality settings to reduce color banding artifacts in dark scifi corridors.
- FOW Toggle in Ship ViewerAdded a "SHOW FOW" checkbox to the debug Ship Viewer tool, allowing developers/testers to dynamically toggle fog of war shroud visibility.
- Tutorial Corpse PlacementsAdjusted the Y-coordinates of the Scientist, Engineer, and AmberSentinel2 corpses in the tutorial ship from 1.5 to 1.35 so they lie flat on the floor instead of hovering.
Thank you for your support. Keep scanning and watch those corners!
