To improve animation performance in low-spec environments as part of the Character Optimization update, the Bone information used for Character LOD3 is scheduled to be updated on 6/18 (Thu).

As a result of this change, in some outfit mods created or uploaded using an earlier version of ModKit, characters' skinning may appear broken when they switch to LOD3.

What Should a Mod Creator Do?

No separate manual rigging adjustments or skin-weight rework are required.

Open your existing outfit mod project in the new version of ModKit with these LOD3 changes applied, update it, then upload it to CurseForge again.

After uploading, CurseForge Cloud Cooking runs automatically, and the updated LOD3 compatibility information is reflected during this process.

How to Proceed

  1. Update to the new ModKit version to be released on 6/18 (Thu).

  2. In the new version of ModKit, open the existing outfit mod project.

  3. If a Save or Update Notice appears, proceed.

  4. Upload the project to CurseForge again.

  5. After uploading, CurseForge Cloud Cooking runs automatically.

Notes

  • Outfit mods created or uploaded using an earlier version of ModKit may be affected.

  • This issue may be visible when the character transitions to LOD3.

  • This isn’t a crash-related issue; it’s a visual compatibility issue that may cause the outfit mesh to look incorrect at LOD3.

  • You do not need to make manual rigging edits, do weight painting, or edit LODs.

Thank you.
