Interstellar Inn changes
Hi everyone,
I have released the first update for the Interstellar Inn demo.
This update focuses on early-game pacing, difficulty balance, and making Casual mode more forgiving for players who want a smoother experience.
Main Changes
Easy difficulty has been renamed to Casual difficulty
Casual difficulty no longer applies missed visitor penalties
Starting constructor crew now begins at efficiency level 4 in all difficulties, so early game construction is relatively quicker.
All bedroom base rents are increased for for normal and casual difficulties. This should offset the effect of missed bookings penalties and make the overall game experience smoother.
Updated bedroom rent balance by difficulty:
Casual
Economy Bedroom base rent: 400 Credits
Business Bedroom base rent: 600 Credits
First Class Bedroom base rent: 800 Credits
Normal
Economy Bedroom base rent: 250 Credits
Business Bedroom: 400 Credits
First Class Bedroom: 600 Credits
Hard (these were the default base rents for all difficulties before the update)
Economy Bedroom base rent: 200 Credits
Business Bedroom base rent: 300 Credits
First Class Bedroom base rent: 400 Credits
Other Updates
Small agency details menu tooltip updated
Additional tutorial texts added
Several visitor, crew, and constructor logic changes implemented for smoother performance
News text speed is reduced in faster game speeds
Missed bookings penalties are now shown as news text
Default starting hotel position changed to the easiest location
Crimson Explorers first mission now requires 5 built economy bedrooms to upgrade
Thank you very much to everyone who has played the demo and shared feedback. This update is mainly focused on balancing the game economy and improving the early-game pacing. Normal difficulty should now feel more balanced, and Casual difficulty is intended for players who want a much easier experience and more freedom to see what they can build without too much economic pressure.
