  • Gameplay
  • Balance
  • UI and audio
addedHere's everything you need to know about the Boss Rush campaign: -There are no requirements necessary to unlock the Boss Rush, and the add-on is given to you for free. -You can start a new file and fight all the bosses from scratch, with a few items placed on pedestals to help you get started, or use your files from the main campaign with all the upgrades intact. -Every boss you defeat drops a randomized augment. -Bosses from new files will drop the orbs that you absorb to grow in strength, but if you load from the main campaign, they will not. -Everything gained in the boss rush will not save over in the main campaign. -The game keeps track of your time while in the boss rush mode if you wanted to see how quickly you can beat the bosses back to back.
addedAlong with adding a new campaign add-on, I updated almost all the bosses to provide a better player experience. Spore Dragon in particular was way too resilient and created a fight that took way too long. The other big boss of note is the Watcher Queen fight, which always irked me a little with how it would make doing no-hit runs nearly impossible. The bullet pattern was changed to give you much more breathing room, but still got me every time she shot it.
fixedHere's all the patch notes in detail: Patch notes: -Boss Rush campaign added -Fixed Mayo's Piercing Bullet augment not harming certain types of enemies -You can use Dragon Whistles during boss battles to summon dragonflies that fly near you and provide cover fire -Spore Dragon's threshold for falling over is decreased, stun time increased -Lowered Mass Infection's last phase's health -Fixed obscure exploit with Titanic Butterfly where you can stunlock it by using the Quake Hammer's ability -Changed fireball hitboxes for Queen Dragonfly fight -Watcher Queen's movement is nerfed and shooting pattern is changed to be more fair, but still challenging -Watcher Queen has a new attack -Reduced volume level with Omega Skullhead's attacks -Fixed bottom text in sound test -Fixed setting defaults in the options menu from resetting the flag for selecting a language among other undesirables
